RRC Adopts Revisions to Form PS-48
New Construction Report
May 07, 2020The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) has adopted revisions to the Form PS-48, New Construction Report.
The revisions to Form PS-48 are related to recent amendments to 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Chapter 8, effective January 6, 2020, specifically changes to 16 TAC §8.115. They clarify the type of pipeline construction being performed and require the operator to include information specific to the area the construction will take place (for example: Miles by class location, miles of high consequence areas (HCAs)). These changes will allow for RRC pipeline safety inspectors to prioritize inspections based on proximity to the public.
